Senior Hydraulic Modeller - ManchesterSalary: 45,000 - 60,000Location: ManchesterAn established consultancy is looking to appoint a Senior Hydraulic Modeller to join their growing water and flood risk team in Manchester. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced hydraulic modeller to take on technically challenging projects while developing their career within a supportive and collaborative team.The RoleYou will be involved in a range of hydraulic modelling and flood risk projects, working across different stages from data collection and model build through to analysis, reporting and client delivery.Your responsibilities will include:Developing, reviewing and running 1D and 2D hydraulic modelsWorking on fluvial, pluvial and surface water flood risk assessmentsModel build, verification, calibration and sensitivity testingInterpreting hydraulic modelling results and identifying flood risk constraintsProducing technical reports, drawings and flood mappingSupporting the preparation of flood risk assessments and drainage strategiesLiaising with clients, stakeholders and other technical disciplinesProviding technical guidance to more junior members of the teamContributing to project planning, fee proposals and technical deliveryAbout YouThe ideal candidate will have:A degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Hydrology, Water Management or a related disciplineSeveral years'' experience within hydraulic modelling and flood risk consultancyStrong experience ..... full job details .....
