Experience: At least 4 years'' experience in an HR advisory role. Experience in a law firm or professional services environment required.We have an opportunity for a Senior HR Advisor to provide an efficient, responsive, high-quality HR advisory service to partners, line managers and employees in our busy Bermuda office. Due to the time-zone difference, there will be a requirement on occasion for urgent work to be undertaken outside of core office hours.Applicants can be based in either our Jersey or Southampton office and must have the right to work in the jurisdiction.Provide high quality HR advice and guidance to managers and partners within our Bermuda office to facilitate the early resolution of employee relation issues including any grievance and disciplinary cases raised, ensuring that the risks associated with such cases are effectively managedAdvise employees and managers on the interpretation and application of HR policies and procedures in accordance with Bermuda legislation and the Employee HandbookDevelop an in depth understanding of the nuances and complexities of the Bermuda office and practice areas that you supportProvide support on significant annual HR processes such as the salary review and bonus recommendationsFacilitate the co-ordination and documentation for all internal and external secondments and transfersWhere required, conduct the weekly HR induction sessions for new joinersHold relevant discussions with employees in relation to parental leave, retirement arrangements, performance issues etc. and provide the relevant paperwork/action associated with these tasksConduct employee exit interviews to build insight into reasons for leaving and where necessary help build a retention strategyAssist with the running and co-ordination of various student schemes and training programmes alongside the recruitment team.Continually look for process improvements and make suggestions that can drive efficiencyProduce HR reports from the HR system as and when requiredSupport other members of the business partnering team during busy periods and absenceThe ideal candidate will have:At least 4 years'' experience in an HR advisory roleExperience in a law firm or professional services environment preferredIdeally CIPD qualifiedHighly organised with the ability to prioritise and multitaskExcellent written and verbal communication skills - must be comfortable to engage and converse across all levelsStrong problem-solving skillsSelf-starter with initiative and confidenceStrong attention to detail with the ability to maintain confidentialityPlease click on "Apply for this job" to submit a CV for this vacancy.Apply
