Senior Care and Support Worker (supporting Older People)
to join our team in
Duns, Scottish Borders . This is a
full-time, permanent
role with a competitive hourly rate of
£15.00 per hour .Responsibilities
Support and mentor care and support staff; manage rotas; identify training needs; supervision; lead the writing of personal care and support plans.Provide practical support with tenants’ daily life including homecare and personal care; promote a positive, active and healthy lifestyle.Communicate effectively with the team to ensure coordinated care and a respectful, empathetic approach to tenants.Benefits

Experience in the care sector and working with older people or other vulnerable members of a community; understanding their needs and how to meet themExcellent written and verbal communication skills; supervisory experienceSVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or a commitment to achieve this qualification to meet SSSC requirementsBasic IT skillsPrevious experience is preferred but not essential; comprehensive training and support available; passion, empathy and dedication to helping tenants live their lives to the fullestImportant Information
Closing Date: 12 noon on Thursday 18 September 2025. Role subject to satisfactory interview, references and PVG check. You will be required to register with the SSSC, complete mandatory training and study for an SVQ if not already held.
