The ideal candidate will have a strong background in highway engineering, with proven experience in leading maintenance projects and managing teams to deliver high-quality results within budget and on time.The main duties of the Senior Highway Engineer (Maintenance) include: Leading the design and development of highway maintenance schemes, from concept to construction, ensuring all stages are completed effectively. Reviewing and producing design drawings, specifications, tender, and pre-construction documentation. Managing the planned maintenance programme based on asset management priorities and condition data. Overseeing site inspections, assessing site information via desktop studies, and using asset management software. Managing contracts and ensuring performance meets the required standards and timescales. Collaborating with stakeholders and contractors to achieve innovative, cost-effective solutions for the highway network.
