Senior Highway Design Engineer

Our client is currently seeking a Senior Highway Design Engineer to join their team on a contract basis. This role involves delivering a diverse portfolio of highways and transport schemes through a fully integrated, multi-disciplinary in-house design team.Key Responsibilities:Deliver highways and infrastructure projects, managing multiple schemes simultaneouslyOperate with minimal supervision, ensuring reliable and consistent deliveryProvide cover for the Principal Engineer as requiredPrepare detailed designs and technical drawingsLead the production of AutoCAD and Civil 3D drawings, technical design details, and construction informationDevelop and coordinate detailed highways and drainage designsApply highways design standards including DMRB, MfS2, LTN 1/20, LTN 1/24, TSM, and CDM 2015Support the management of project budgets, estimates, and delivery programmesJob Requirements:In-depth experience in highway design and infrastructure developmentProficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D drawing softwareUnderstanding of highways design standards and CDM 2015 regulationsStrong project management skills, including risk management and financial monitoringExperience with procurement activities and contractor coordinationAbility to incorporate buildability and practical delivery considerations into designsCapability to undertake site supervision, inspections, and resolve technical issuesExcellent stakeholder engagement and consultation skillsBenefits:Opportunity to work on a variety of ..... full job details .....
