Senior HGV Transport Planner

Location: Worksop

Hours: Full Time, 4 days on, 4 days off

Contract: Permanent

I’m currently working with a transport and logistics business based in Worksop who are recruiting for a Senior Transport Planner to join their team. In this role, you’ll be responsible efficiently planning HGV vehicles across the UK.

Responsibilities:

• Planning of allocated pool of trucks and drivers.
• Maintaining sufficient trailer availability to deliver the plan.
• Maximise vehicle utilisation.
• Close working relationship with allocated drivers.
• Liaison with the operations team.
• Coordination with wider planning team to ensure all jobs are covered and customers are satisfied.
• Coordination with the commercial team to ensure jobs are completed and invoiced correctly.

Requirements:

• Experience planning HGV vehicles, ideally across multiple sites
• Confidence building strong relationships with drivers and other key stakeholders
• A quick thinker with the ability to manager multiple activities at once
• Excellent attention to detail
