Senior Hand Therapist - Band 6 (Fixed Term Maternity Cover) Location: Northampton General Hospital, Northamptonshire Contract Type: Fixed Term Maternity Cover Salary: Band 6 NHS Agenda for Change About the Role Northampton General Hospital is recruiting a Senior Hand Therapist to join its specialist Hand Therapy Service on a fixed-term maternity cover basis. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Occupational Therapist or Physiotherapist with a passion for Hand Therapy to work within a highly regarded multidisciplinary team supporting patients with complex hand injuries and conditions across Trauma and Orthopaedics and Plastic Surgery services. Key Responsibilities Manage a specialist Hand Therapy caseload from assessment through to discharge Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate treatment programmes for patients with a wide range of hand conditions and injuries Design, fabricate, and fit static and dynamic splints Deliver evidence-based rehabilitation and exercise programmes Work closely with consultants, therapists, nursing staff, and multidisciplinary colleagues Support patient education and self-management strategies Supervise junior therapists, therapy support staff, and students Participate in service development, audit, governance, and quality improvement projects Contribute to departmental training and professional development activities What We''re Looking For Essential Degree in Occupational Therapy or Physiotherapy HCPC ..... full job details .....
