Senior Group Accountant
A large established real estate company in London is seeking a Senior Group Accountant to join its Group Finance team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This is a broad and high-impact role, ideal for a technically strong qualified accountant who can make an immediate contribution within a fast-paced Group Finance environment. 4 days in office, 1 day wfh Key Responsibilities Prepare quarterly consolidated financial statements and management accounts, including supporting disclosures and narrative reporting. Produce analytical reviews and reporting for senior management, Board and Audit Committee audiences, identifying key movements, transactions and trends. Prepare shareholder and investor reporting and respond to related queries. Support the development and embedding of finance processes, controls and systems, with a particular focus on standardisation, automation, data and emerging AI-enabled technologies. Work closely with finance teams and wider stakeholders, including Treasury and Investments, to ensure accurate and timely reporting. Prepare technical accounting papers and develop robust conclusions on complex IFRS matters. Prepare and oversee key Group balance sheet reconciliations, investigating and resolving complex issues. Account for and reconcile interest accruals, fee amortisation, derivative fair value movements and other adjustments relating to financial liabilities.
