Senior Geotechnical Engineer Edinburgh 40,000 - 50,000We are seeking an experienced and driven Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join a well-established ground engineering team based in Edinburgh. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong engineer with expertise in slope stability and quarry design to take a leading role on a diverse range of high-profile projects across the UK.The RoleAs a Senior Geotechnical Engineer, you will play a key role in delivering technically complex projects, with a particular focus on slope stability, rock mechanics, and quarry operations. You will be responsible for leading projects from initial investigation through to design and implementation, while mentoring junior team members and supporting business development.Key ResponsibilitiesLeading geotechnical input on projects involving slope stability, landslide risk assessment, and remediation designUndertaking quarry design, including benching, blasting considerations, and long-term stability assessmentsCarrying out and supervising ground investigations and site inspectionsPerforming detailed geotechnical analysis and modelling (e.g. limit equilibrium, numerical modelling)Preparing high-quality technical reports, risk assessments, and design documentationManaging project delivery, budgets, and client relationshipsMentoring and supporting junior engineers and graduatesRequirementsDegree in Geotechnical Engineering, Engineering Geology, or a related disciplineSignificant ..... full job details .....
