An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join an established multidisciplinary consultancy in Sheffield, working across a diverse range of technically interesting projects.

• Plan and manage ground investigations from inception through to completion
• Undertake site investigations, walkovers and in-situ testing
• Supervise and support junior engineers and site teams
• Produce and review soil and rock logs
• Prepare Phase 1 Desk Studies and interpretive reports
• Produce factual and interpretive ground investigation reports
• Liaise with clients, contractors and other project stakeholders
• Contribute to project planning, technical solutions and delivery
• Review technical work and ensure high standards are maintained

The successful Senior Geotechnical Engineer will hold a relevant BSc/MSc in geology, geoscience, geotechnical engineering, environmental science or a related discipline, alongside several years'' experience within the ground investigation industry.

You''ll need strong technical knowledge, excellent communication skills and the confidence to take ownership of projects and support less experienced colleagues.

A full UK driving licence, full right to work in the UK and the ability to commute to Sheffield are essential.
