We are seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join their growing team in Watford. This is an excellent opportunity to take on a senior role within a highly respected business delivering complex ground engineering projects across the UK.

The Role

As a Senior Geotechnical Engineer, you will play a key role in the delivery of a wide range of geotechnical and ground engineering projects. You will be responsible for leading investigations, overseeing design work, and mentoring junior engineers, while working closely with clients and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Leading and managing geotechnical site investigations
• Producing and reviewing geotechnical design reports
• Providing technical input on foundations, retaining structures, and slope stability
• Managing project delivery, budgets, and timelines
• Mentoring and supporting junior team members
• Liaising with clients, contractors, and stakeholders

Requirements

• Degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or Engineering Geology
• Significant experience in a geotechnical consultancy environment
• Strong knowledge of UK ground conditions and standards
• Experience in design (foundations, earthworks, retaining walls, slope stability)
• Chartered or working towards chartership (ICE or Geological Society)
• Excellent communication and project management skills
