An exciting opportunity has become available for a Senior Geoenvironmental Consultant to join a well-established multidisciplinary consultancy based in Sheffield. With a strong reputation for delivering high-quality geotechnical and geoenvironmental services, the company works across a broad range of residential, commercial, industrial and infrastructure projects throughout the UK.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced consultant looking to take on greater responsibility, manage a diverse portfolio of projects and play a key role in the continued growth of the geoenvironmental team.

The Senior Geoenvironmental Consultant role will involve:

  • Managing contaminated land and geoenvironmental projects from inception through to completion.
  • Designing, supervising and managing Phase I and Phase II ground investigations.
  • Producing and reviewing factual, interpretative and geoenvironmental reports.
  • Completing contaminated land risk assessments and remediation strategies.
  • Liaising with clients, regulators, contractors and the wider design team.
  • Managing project budgets, programmes and commercial performance.
  • Providing technical guidance and mentoring junior staff.
  • Supporting business development and maintaining strong client relationships.

The successful Senior Geoenvironmental Consultant will have:

  • A degree in Geology, Environmental Science, Engineering Geology or a related discipline.
  • Extensive UK consultancy experience within geoenvironmental engineering or contaminated land.
  • A strong understanding of current contaminated land guidance and legislation.
  • Experience managing ground investigations and delivering technical reports.
  • Excellent communication, report writing and project management skills.
  • A full UK driving licence.
