The initial project involves shaft construction using a caisson method. Further shaft, tunnelling and civil engineering packages are expected to follow, creating the potential for continued work beyond the initial six week programme. Reporting to the Project Manager, the Senior General Foreman will take day to day responsibility for site operations, directly managing approximately five or six operatives working across two gangs. There will not be an additional supervisor beneath the General Foreman. Applicants must therefore be capable of directly controlling the workforce while completing the detailed quality, safety and compliance documentation required within a highly regulated construction environment.
