As our Senior Software Developer, you will design, develop, test, and deploy web-based software products as part of Gallagher Re’s engineering team, supporting one of the world''s largest reinsurance brokerages.You will play a key role in building top-tier software products, advising on best practices, and improving our code base to stay industry-leading. You will also help innovate and solve technical challenges across the department.This role emphasizes security, performance, and accessibility, offering a chance to influence the daily experience of many colleagues. It provides opportunities to develop your skills through challenging projects and collaborative teamwork, delivering excellent outcomes for our business.This position is remote within the UK, with a requirement to travel to our London headquarters once a month for team meetings. Full UK work rights are necessary; sponsorship is not available.How you''ll make an impact

Design and develop software products for Gallagher Re, taking ownership of complex applications across the full development lifecycle.Improve existing products using the latest .NET and Angular versions, optimizing for Azure cloud deployment.Provide coaching and training to colleagues.Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to standards.Support performance and security testing.Analyze requirements and create development tasks.Collaborate with BAs, designers, and front-end developers to ensure high-quality software.Create unit tests for new and existing code.Suggest and implement improvements to development methodologies.Work with support teams to troubleshoot and resolve live system issues.About you

Experience with Angular 17+, .NET Core, and Azure cloud.Strong SQL knowledge.Experience with automation testing tools like Selenium, Playwright, or BDD.Familiarity with Azure services such as App Service, Key Vault, Service Bus, CosmosDB, ACR, and APIM.Hands-on experience with Docker.Experience with Azure DevOps.Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.Ability to work across multiple complex product domains.Compensation and benefits
