<description>Location: Edinburgh | Salary: 60000.00-60000.00 Annual | Type: Permanent | This software company have built a product that''s been running for over a decade. It''s used every day by clinical and admin staff across multiple sites in the public health sector. It works, and that''s part of the challenge. After years of feature layering on a mature, highly configurable platform, the team wants to step back and modernise the technology underneath it, not just keep adding to the surface. You''d join a small, remote-first engineering team that get close to the people who actually use the product. Engineers here present their own work directly to end users and client steering groups several times a year, and it shapes what gets built next. This is a broad role by design. Spec writing, coding, testing, and some infrastructure and environment upkeep all sit with you, alongside a genuine say in how the product evolves technically. The platform is deliberately built to be configurable rather than forked into one-off builds per client, which brings its own kind of complexity. You''ll work across a modern Angular/TypeScript front end and a C#/.NET backend, with SQL underneath, on software that has to be right because it sits in a regulated, safety-critical setting. AI too...</description>
