Salary: Up to -50,000 (depending on experience)

The Opportunity

We are working with a well-established and fast-growing logistics provider that is continuing to expand its UK operations. Due to sustained growth and increased volumes, they are now looking to appoint a Senior Freight Forwarder to join their team in Uxbridge.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced freight professional looking to step into a senior role, with clear progression into management for those who want it.

The Role

As a Senior Freight Forwarder, you will play a key role in managing end-to-end shipments, supporting junior team members, and ensuring high levels of service delivery across international freight operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage import shipments across air and sea freight from start to finish
• Coordinate with overseas agents, airlines, shipping lines, and hauliers
• Handle all relevant documentation including customs entries and compliance
• Provide accurate quotations and support pricing requests
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and suppliers
• Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues efficiently
• Support and mentor junior team members where required

Requirements

• Proven experience in freight forwarding (Air & Sea essential)
• Strong focus on import operations
• Good understanding of customs procedures and documentation
• Experience liaising with carriers, agents, and clients
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Previous supervisory/management experience is highly desirable
• (However, strong senior-level candidates looking to step up will also be considered)
• Export experience is advantageous but not essential
