Senior Freight Forwarder - Imports

Do you have experience of managing import sea freight shipments? Confident booking cargo with carriers and overseas agents and handling documentation? If you are looking for a challenging, varied role with a forward thinking, innovative company, this could be the perfect role for you.The Role: As a Senior Freight Forwarder, you will be responsible for the start to finish process of moving import shipments mainly by sea but some air. You will be commercially minded with a real passion for moving freight and solving problems for time critical cargo Your responsibilities will also include;Negotiating and booking cargo with carriers.Managing documentation flow, including Bills of Lading, Packing Lists, Commercial Invoices, Certificates of Origin and Licences.Ensuring cargo is Customs cleared using CDSArranging delivery and managing all the way to final destination.Essential Criteria:Import experienceCommercially mindedExcellent communicationAbout the Company: This is a position with a local freight forwarder that specialises in moving a wide range of cargo across the globe.
