Senior Flood Risk Consultant

Fully Remote (UK) | -45,000 - -55,000+ | Permanent

A growing specialist consultancy is looking to appoint a Senior Flood Risk Consultant to join its expanding team. The role would suit an experienced flood risk professional looking to take on greater responsibility across a varied range of projects.

You will work on a mixture of flood risk, drainage and water-related projects, providing technical advice to clients and supporting projects from initial feasibility through to planning and delivery.

• Preparing Flood Risk Assessments and technical reports.
• Assessing flood risk and interpreting data from relevant authorities.
• Supporting flood risk and drainage strategies for development projects.
• Undertaking and reviewing flood risk assessments and modelling where required.
• Liaising with clients, local authorities, regulators and other stakeholders.
• Managing projects and supporting junior members of the team.
• Providing technical input into planning and development proposals.
• Contributing to fee proposals and business development.

• 5+ years'' experience within flood risk, hydrology, drainage or a related discipline.
• Strong understanding of UK flood risk and planning requirements.
• Experience producing technical reports and assessments.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with GIS software such as ArcGIS or QGIS.
• Hydraulic modelling or drainage experience would be beneficial.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to manage projects independently.
• Chartered or working towards chartership is desirable but not essential.
