Senior Flood Risk and Drainage Consultant

My Client, a market leading Environmental Consultancy based in Edinburgh, is searching for a Senior Flood Risk and Drainage Consultant to join their team.  This is a hybrid role, with offices close to the Royal Britannia Yacht.  

This exciting role will offer candidates the opportunity to join an innovative team who specialise in flood risk, drainage and environmental engineering for both public and private sector clients.  With a wide portfolio of projects you will have the chance to design flood risk, drainage and natura based solutions for a variety of sectors for both public and private sector clients.  

As a Flood Risk and Drainage Consultant you will be required to complete varied technical work including; 

-Flood Risk Assessments for flood zone 1,2 and 3. 

-Flood Risk Mapping using ArcGIS. 

-SuDS Strategies.

-Drainage, attenuation and SuDS design using infodrainage and causeway flow.   

-Design of sustainable drainage solutions for residential, commercial, healthcare, retail and educational projects.    

-Client meetings to discuss project progress, on occasion.    

-Support team members with designs.

It is essential that applicants have a strong BSc and/or MSc in Civil Engineering, Environmental Management, Hydrology or Environmental Management and experience working for a UK based Consultancy completing flood risk assessments, drainage strategies, drainage design and/or hydraulic modelling.  A varied skillset is preferred! 

It is essential for applicants to enjoy working in a fast-paced working environment to complete projects from feasibility to completion.  You will also have the confidence to liaise with clients to manage projects and discuss project progress.   

A driving licence is also essential for site visits.  Experience driving larger vehicles is also preferred!
