      <description>Location: Manchester | Salary: &amp;pound;45000 - &amp;pound;55000/annum | Type: Permanent | Senior Flood Modeller - Manchester | -45,00055,000   A specialist environmental consultancy is looking to appoint a Senior Flood Modeller to join their team in Manchester. The role will involve working across a range of flood risk, hydraulic modelling and environmental projects throughout the UK.  The Role:   Undertake 1D and 2D hydraulic modelling for fluvial and surface water flood risk projects.  Develop and run models using Flood Modeller and TUFLOW.  Prepare Flood Risk Assessments, technical reports and modelling outputs.  Analyse and interpret model results and provide technical recommendations.  Manage modelling projects from initial data review through to completion.  Liaise with clients, regulators and other project stakeholders.  Support and mentor junior members of the team.  Assist with project scopes, fee proposals and bids where required.   The Candidate:   Experience working within flood risk and hydraulic modelling.  Strong experience using Flood Modeller, with TUFLOW experience advantageous.  Good understanding of fluvial and surface water flood risk.
