A well-established and growing fire engineering consultancy is looking for an experienced Senior Fire Engineer to join their team in Essex.

The successful Senior Fire Engineer will provide fire engineering expertise across residential, commercial and mixed-use developments, supporting projects from early design through to completion.

Typical responsibilities will include:

• Developing fire strategies and fire engineering solutions

• Reviewing architectural and design information

• Supporting compliance with Building Regulations and relevant guidance

• Undertaking technical reviews and fire safety assessments

• Liaising with clients, architects, contractors and approving authorities

• Supporting and mentoring junior fire engineers

• Contributing to the continued growth of the consultancy

The successful Senior Fire Engineer will ideally have:

• A degree in Fire Engineering or a relevant engineering discipline

• Strong experience within a fire engineering consultancy environment

• Good knowledge of UK fire safety legislation, Building Regulations and industry guidance

• Experience producing fire strategies and technical reports

• Excellent client-facing and communication skills

• Progress towards, or achievement of, professional membership or Chartered status with a relevant body
