Senior Financial Reporting Manager Barking Town Hall, Barking (3 days office-based / hybrid working) Up to £76,000 per annum Permanent Full-Time Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm Lead Financial Excellence in a High-Profile Local Authority We''re partnering with a forward-thinking London Borough Council to recruit a Senior Financial Reporting Manager who will play a pivotal role in delivering statutory financial reporting, audit management, technical accounting guidance, and continuous improvement across the finance function. This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced CCAB-qualified accountant looking to take ownership of a critical finance function within a large and complex public sector organisation. The Opportunity Reporting directly to the Head of Finance, you will act as the Council''s lead expert on financial reporting, technical accounting, and taxation matters. You will oversee the preparation of statutory accounts, manage external and internal audit relationships, and provide strategic financial advice to senior stakeholders across the organisation. You will also lead and develop a team of finance professionals while driving improvements in systems, reporting processes, controls, and financial governance.
