Senior Financial Accountant

A growing and highly successful financial services organisation is looking to appoint a Senior Accountant to join its finance team.This is an excellent opportunity to take ownership of statutory reporting, audit management and financial oversight across a group of businesses, while also playing a key role in supporting acquisitions and finance transformation projects.The business operates nationally and continues to expand through organic growth and acquisitions, offering exposure to a dynamic and evolving finance environment. You''ll work closely with senior stakeholders across the group, contributing to strong financial governance and helping the organisation make well-informed strategic decisions.The RoleReporting into senior finance leadership, responsibilities will include:Producing statutory financial statements in line with UK-adopted IFRS and UK GAAPManaging the annual external audit process and delivering audited accounts to regulatory deadlinesSupporting the completion and submission of corporate tax, VAT and other statutory filings in partnership with the group tax teamLiaising with the wider group on regular and ad-hoc financial reporting requirementsSupporting group finance initiatives and projects, including systems improvements and finance process enhancementsPlaying a key role in the financial integration of newly acquired businesses, including:Accounting for acquisitions and maintaining related schedulesPosting acquisition-related journals and preparing ..... full job details .....
