Senior Financial Accountant

The role provides senior technical accounting expertise across statutory reporting, audit, compliance and internal controls, while working closely with the wider business to strengthen financial reporting and governance. A key focus will be on driving continuous improvement, improving processes and ensuring the finance function operates with a high level of accuracy, efficiency and control. Client Details Global business, near Crawley. Description Lead the month-end and year-end financial reporting processes, ensuring accurate, timely and audit-ready reporting. Own balance sheet integrity, reconciliations and the resolution of financial reporting issues. Lead the preparation of statutory accounts and manage the external audit process through to completion. Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, internal controls, SOX requirements and wider governance frameworks. Identify financial and operational risks, implementing appropriate controls and improvements where required. Prepare and oversee external and regulatory reporting, including statutory filings. Work closely with shared services, tax, payroll and wider finance teams to ensure a smooth and effective reporting process. Drive continuous improvement across accounting, reporting and finance processes, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, accuracy and controls.
