Senior Financial Accountant - FTC

We''re looking for an experienced Senior Financial Accountant to join the team on a 6-month fixed-term contract, stepping in to make an impact during a busy period of change and audit preparation.This is a hands-on contract role where you''ll ensure smooth month-end reporting, maintain strong financial control, and provide reliable audit and compliance support. Day-to-day responsibilities:Deliver accurate month-end reporting, journals, and reconciliations.Support forecasting, budgeting, and group reporting cycles.Act as a key contact for the annual audit, preparing schedules and liaising with auditors.Assist with VAT returns, statutory reporting, and financial control improvements.Partner with stakeholders to provide financial insights and variance analysis.Support ongoing finance projects and process improvements. Required skills, qualifications, and experience:Qualified or Part-Qualified Accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) with solid hands-on experience.Strong background in financial and management accounting.Confident with forecasting, VAT, and audit processes.Advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills; experience with NetSuite and/or Salesforce is a plus.Proactive, detail-focused, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.Experience in contract roles or fast-moving settings is highly desirable.
