You will be at the heart of ensuring accurate reporting, robust controls, and sound governance in a fast-moving and collaborative environment.What You’ll Be DoingOversee monthly and annual financial close activities, ensuring reports are timely, accurate, and compliant.Strengthen and refine internal control processes, maintaining high standards of governance.Provide expert advice on accounting treatments for complex transactions and new reporting standards.Develop and maintain clear, up-to-date accounting policies and procedures.Supervise the preparation and review of treasury postings, reconciliations, and other key entries.Spot weaknesses in processes, recommend solutions, and drive control improvements.Lead, coach, and motivate a small financial control team, encouraging development and accountability.Act as the key contact for external auditors, manage audit deliverables, and oversee tax packs and VAT returns.Work closely with teams across Finance, Treasury, Risk, and Audit to ensure consistency and integrity in reporting.Contribute to broader finance projects and long-term initiatives.About YouProfessionally qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or similar).Minimum of three years’ post-qualification experience within financial control, ideally in banking.Thorough understanding of IFRS standards and regulatory reporting requirements.Track record of improving controls and reporting frameworks.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with excellent communication skills.Comfortable using ERP financial systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, or similar) and highly proficient in Excel.London, England, United Kingdom5 days ..... full job details .....
