Job Title: Senior Finance Assistant Location : Borehamwood Salary : 38,000 - 40,000 Hours : 8.00-4.00 Mon-Fri Benefits: 25 days holiday, attractive pension, 6% company bonus What you want to know about this employer Hugely successful global manufacturer with over 50 years in the industry and a market leader An extremely well organised, structured business with a warm family feel, a traditional yet down to earth culture Purpose of the role The Assistant Management Accountant will be responsible for supporting core financial processes, maintaining accurate records, and assisting with month-end reporting to support informed business decisions Responsibilities: Prepare and post accruals, prepayments and journals through to trial balance. Manage intercompany accounting and reconciliations across two main companies and smaller group entities. Prepare and submit VAT returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance. Complete bank postings and reconciliations, investigating and resolving discrepancies. Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts and month-end reporting. Take ownership of designated month-end processes, ensuring accurate and timely completion. Prepare and maintain balance sheet reconciliations. Maintain and reconcile the fixed asset register, including depreciation. Support stock reconciliations, investigating and resolving any variances. Review monthly profit and loss accounts, identifying and highlighting unusual transactions or discrepancies. Provide ..... full job details .....
