Senior Finance Assistant Tredegar area £30,000 FTE 4 or 5 days per week 1-day WFH per week (after onboarding) Môrwell Talent Solutions is delighted to be supporting a brilliant Tredegar-based SME to recruit a Senior Finance Assistant, working in a vibrant, friendly, and fast-paced office environment. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced finance professional who enjoys a hands-on role, thrives in an SME setting, and wants to be part of a close-knit team. You ll report directly to the Finance Director and support the Assistant Accountant across a broad range of finance duties. Key Responsibilities: Assist with month-end close processes Prepare and post journals, including accruals and prepayments Conduct balance sheet reconciliations Manage intercompany transactions Oversee bank reconciliations and monitor bank balances Support cashflow reporting Prepare and submit VAT returns Maintain financial records using Sage 200 Work collaboratively with the wider team to ensure efficient finance operations Ideal Candidate: AAT Level 4 qualified (or equivalent experience) Strong understanding of core finance processes and controls Experience in a hands-on finance role within an SME environment Confident using Sage 200 (or similar accounting software) Proactive, dependable, and adaptable comfortable rolling your sleeves up Driver with access to a car (essential due to rural location) What s on Offer: Salary up to £30,000 FTE (depending on experience, pro rata if 4 days) ..... full job details .....
