Senior Finance Analyst

One of the World''s leading Facilities Management Service providers is urgently seeking an experienced finance analyst to join them on an exciting International client account in London. Working in a team of four people you will be required to assist with reconciliation''s, funding reporting, putting budgets together and presenting finance information in a way that non finance people can understand. You should have experience of working on an international account, be part qualified and experience of Facilities Management is a considerable bonus.


This role will be based in the office for 2-3 days a week and rest at home.

Job Purpose:

To produce excellent Client Reporting and provide excellent financial support to the Business Unit, through added value financial analysis and valued input to the operational team.

Key Tasks:

  • Provide direct financial support & expertise to the account

  • Provide added value financial commentary to support regular, standard financial reports

  • Working closely with Finance Account Lead to implement baseline and savings tracking reporting and analysis

  • Working closely with operations and commercial team to identify all possible savings opportunities and ensure that financial targets are achieved

  • Support collation of monthly accruals to internal and client finance teams

  • Develop strong relationships with both the client operational and client finance teams

  • Support compilation of annual budgets & quarterly forecasts both internally and externally (Client)

  • Provide ad-hoc support to Finance Account Lead as required

  • Ensure finance procedures are adhered to by operations team, and take corrective action / escalate where required

  • Provide direct financial support & expertise to the account

  • Support in ad-hoc financial analysis and projects as required

  • Understand the commercial model and enforce governance and compliance to support effective execution

  • Achieve results within quality and time restraints across multi locations and countries


People

  • Build trusted relationships with client finance team

  • Liaise with Contract Support teams around the business

  • Involve people and influence decisions

  • Culture and behaviour carrier


Education

  • Higher educational qualifications to ''A'' level or degree (or equivalent)

  • Part qualified or finalist CCAB accounting qualification (ACCA or CIMA)


Skills

  • Excellent PC based skills, with experience in Word, Excel (including modelling), PowerPoint and Outlook - intermediate to advance level skills are essential (lookups and pivots essential)

  • Highly numerate

  • Organised and open to new ways of working to challenge inefficiencies

  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal, and able to communicate with people at all levels across the account and develop effective relationships at all levels

  • English language is a must, any additional languages an advantage

  • Complex commercial models and GMP experience


Experience

  • Working in an environment where delivering financial information within tight timescales is a pre-requisite

  • Reporting in a complex multi-country, multi-divisional, service business (Industry experience) including financial planning and contracts management

  • Dealing with Forex in a multi-currency environment

  • Providing senior management with financial results and analysis

  • Demonstrable experience working with complex financial and operational information systems, including iScala and controls in a large business that provides consistent and reliable information

  • Focus on strong focus on customer service

  • Previous experience of a customer-facing role using operating systems such as iScala, Dynamics AX or Concept software along with financial / accounting experience would be an advantage

  • Presentation skills to effectively communicate ideas and results to senior stakeholders

  • Ability to work as part of a team, as well as independently

  • Excellent organisational skills who is Results/ task orientated, with attention to detail and accuracy

Circumstances
  • The individual must be willing to undertake travel as the role/business requires
