With over 100 Principal Investigators, our research spans development from childhood to old age, encompassing basic researchthrough to the development and implementation of treatments, services and policy.About the role

The School of Mental Health and Psychological Sciences (MHAPS) is seeking to appoint a Senior Executive Assistant to the Head of School (HoS) to join our dynamic team and to provide high-level professional support to the Head of School (HoS), Head of School Operations (HoSOps) and the school executive team. The post holder will liaise with a range of people at all levels across King’s, including academics, researchers, students, and staff in the central University.The successful candidate will be responsible for the effective and efficient day-to-day management and organisation of the HoS’s activities, including but not limited to daily diary management, committee servicing and making travel arrangements.The post holder must be highly organised and have a demonstrable ability to plan, prioritise, and work to deadlines. The successful candidate will have an excellent attention-to-detail skill set and should be flexible, proactive, and strive for continuous improvement and be able to work collaboratively as part of the wider PS School Team.This is a full-time post (35 hours per week), and you will be offered an indefinite contract.We work a hybrid pattern, requiring a minimum of 3 days per week in the office.About you

Essential criteriaDemonstrable knowledge and skills of business operations acquired through previous roles/qualifications.Experience providing high-level administrative and/or personal support to senior executives, utilising a range of IT software packages and databases.Experience in managing complex and multiple diaries, as well as servicing formal committees and meetings.Excellent communication skills, including excellent spoken and written English, in formal documents, letters, emails and other communications. Drafting and proofreading documents; dissemination of procedure and policyProven ability to maintain confidentiality, handle situations sensitively, and exhibit a high level of awareness, tact, and diplomacy.Confident in making independent decisions and knowing when to escalate.Proactive approach with the ability to work independently and flexibly, managing and prioritising own workload, working under pressure in a busy environment and meeting deadlines.Desirable criteriaEnthusiasm and a can-do attitude with a strong work ethic, able to adapt to change and address challengesExperience working in the higher education sector, with a strong understanding of HE administration.Proven commitment to ongoing skills development.£39,076 to £41,761 per annum, including London Weighting ..... full job details .....
