      <description>Location: City of London | Salary: &amp;pound;750 - &amp;pound;800/day | Type: Contract | We are seeking a seasoned, high-caliber Senior e-Trading Java Developer to join the UI &amp; Electronic Trading team. You will contribute directly to a strategic multi-year greenfield build-out and modernization of our core Rates electronic trading platform.  The position offers a dynamic working environment embedded closely with global trading desks. The ideal candidate brings extensive buy-side or top-tier investment banking experience in Rates e-trading, deep low-latency Java expertise, and strong business-facing capabilities to elicit requirements directly from traders.   Key Responsibilities &amp; Accountabilities      Core Platform Build:  Design, develop, and optimize greenfield components of the Rates electronic trading platform architecture.     Trader Engagement:  Collaborate directly with Rates traders to elicit business requirements, model complex trading workflows (RFQ, Algos), and translate them into robust technical solutions.
