      <description>Location: York | Salary: Negotiable | Type: Contract | Zinc Consult is currently looking for a senior estimator for our rail infrastructure team based in York, the successful candidate will support our project teams and will undertake large and complex cost planning, quantification, pre-contract estimates and post-contract commercial reviews on a major rail framework.    Start Date:  	 ASAP   Responsibilities for the successful candidate will include:  	 Working with the project teams to deliver accurate estimations for large and complex programmes. 	 Controlling and managing the estimating process at project level 	 Applying and using recognised, appropriate method of measurement rules (eg RMM) in the preparation of all estimates 	 Supporting client procurement teams with tender and/or contract price analysis and reference to baseline and revised estimates     Requirements:  	 Experience in Pre- and post-contract estimating. 	 BSc in quantity surveying or equivalent 	 Rail/Civils experience 	 Minimum of 5 years experience in technical delivery of UK rail projects. 	 Understanding of project management, planning, risk and investment processes 	 Good technical writing, client-facing and communication skills</description>
