Senior Estimator

A well-established specialist contractor within the external envelope sector is looking to appoint an experienced Facade Estimator to support continued growth across high-value commercial projects.

The business delivers a wide range of façade and roofing solutions including rainscreen cladding, SFS, standing seam roofing and full building envelope packages across the UK.

You will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive tenders for façade and cladding packages, working closely with suppliers, clients and the wider pre-construction team.

Projects range from complex remediation works through to large-scale new build developments.

• Preparing detailed cost estimates and tender submissions
• Producing accurate take-offs from drawings using Bluebeam
• Reviewing architectural and technical specifications
• Pricing labour, materials, preliminaries and subcontract packages
• Issuing enquiries to suppliers and subcontractors
• Reviewing quotations and ensuring technical compliance
• Value engineering and identifying cost-saving opportunities
• Attending client meetings and tender interviews
• Liaising with commercial, design and operational teams during handover
• Managing RFIs, tender queries and bid documentation

• Proven estimating experience within facades, cladding or external envelope systems
• Strong knowledge of rainscreen cladding systems
• Experience pricing SFS packages
• Understanding of cavity barriers and non-combustible systems
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings/specifications
• Experience working on commercial façade projects

Experience with some or all of the following would be advantageous:

• Aluminium rainscreen systems
• Composite cladding systems
• Timber and cementitious cladding
• Brick slip and terracotta systems
• SFS framing systems
• CWCT-tested systems
• Support systems such as Nvelope or similar

• Bluebeam
• Microsoft Excel
• Outlook & Word
