Senior Estimator

This-is-an-excellent-opportunity-for-a-commercially-astute-estimating-professional-looking-to-play-a-key-role-in-securing-major-projects-across-sectors-including-commercial,-healthcare,-education,-residential,-industrial,-and-public-sector-frameworks.

The-Role

Reporting-to-the-Head-of-Pre-Construction,-you-will-lead-the-estimating-function-on-bids-ranging-from10m-to150m+,-managing-the-full-tender-process-from-initial-enquiry-through-to-submission.

Key-responsibilities-include

• Leading-the-preparation-of-detailed-cost-estimates-for-major-construction-projects.
• Managing-single-stage-and-two-stage-tender-submissions.
• Reviewing-tender-documentation,-drawings,-specifications,-and-employer-requirements.
• Developing-competitive-pricing-strategies-while-maintaining-profitability.
• Coordinating-subcontractor-and-supplier-enquiries-and-evaluating-returned-quotations.
• Identifying-project-risks-and-opportunities-and-incorporating-them-into-tender-submissions.
• Working-closely-with-design,-planning,-commercial,-and-operational-teams-during-the-bid-process.
• Presenting-cost-plans-and-tender-recommendations-to-senior-leadership.
• Supporting-client-meetings,-framework-negotiations,-and-pre-construction-presentations.
• Mentoring-and-developing-junior-estimators-within-the-team.

About-You

To-be-successful-in-this-position,-you-will-ideally-have

• Proven-experience-as-a-Senior-Estimator-within-a-Tier-1-or-leading-regional-contractor-environment.
• A-strong-track-record-of-pricing-major-construction-projects-from10m-upwards.
• Experience-across-a-variety-of-construction-sectors.
• Excellent-knowledge-of-current-market-rates,-procurement-routes,-and-construction-methodologies.
• Strong-commercial-awareness-and-risk-assessment-capabilities.
• Proficiency-with-estimating-software-and-Microsoft-Office-applications.
• Excellent-communication-and-stakeholder-management-skills.
• Degree-qualification-in-Quantity-Surveying,-Construction-Management,-or-a-related-discipline-(preferred).
