Senior Estimator

We are working with a well-established civil engineering and infrastructure contractor to assist them in hiring an Estimator for their growing team in Scotland.This is an excellent opportunity to join a respected business delivering a diverse range of rail, civil engineering and infrastructure projects across Scotland. The successful candidate will play a key role in preparing competitive and commercially robust tenders, assessing project costs and working closely with pre-construction, commercial and operational teams to support the successful securing of new work. If you have a background in estimating and are looking to develop your career within an established infrastructure business, we would love to hear from you.As the Estimator, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:Preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for civil engineering, rail and infrastructure projects from initial enquiry through to tender submission.Reviewing tender documentation, drawings, specifications and scopes of work to establish project requirements and identify potential risks.Producing detailed cost breakdowns covering labour, plant, materials, subcontractors and other project-related expenses.Obtaining and analysing quotations from suppliers and subcontractors to ensure competitive and accurate pricing.Liaising with commercial, engineering, pre-construction and operational teams to develop suitable construction methodologies and tender strategies.Identifying ..... full job details .....
