Senior Estimator - Rail

We re seeking an experienced Senior Estimator with a strong background in civil engineering projects within the rail sector, particularly in drainage, utilities, and associated infrastructure works. You ll play a pivotal role in developing accurate and competitive tenders for projects across the South East, working closely with our pre-construction, engineering, and delivery teams. Key Responsibilities Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for civil engineering and rail infrastructure projects. Analyse drawings, specifications, and tender documentation to assess scope and risk. Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders to gather cost data and technical information. Develop BOQs, take-offs, and cost breakdowns for drainage and utilities packages. Identify value engineering opportunities and support bid strategies. Support tender presentations and negotiations. Mentor junior estimators and support continuous improvement within the estimating team. About You Estimating experience within civil engineering or rail infrastructure. Proven experience in drainage, utilities, and earthworks estimation Strong understanding of NR (Network Rail) standards and rail site constraints.
