Senior Estimator (Rail and Civils)

Our client is a leading civil engineering, infrastructure and structures contractor.They currently have an immediate requirement for a Freelance Senior Estimator with experience of pricing heavy civils, concrete and structures packages from 1st Principles within the railway sector. Freelance Senior Estimator (Rail and Civils) requirements:Engineering background and degree qualified in a relevant Engineering or similar qualification and relevant experience10+ years'' experience as an Engineer on site and/or a delivery role with Estimating experience working on civils and structures projects within the railway sector.Demonstratable experience in pricing works from 1st principles is essential, and able take off quantities from drawings.Understanding of engineering resources, their costs and outputs and how these translate to the overall project cost.Knowledge of risk management procedures and how these impact on cost estimates.Ability to build up project programme and sequencing.Conversant with different types of Estimating Software and generally strong IT Skills.Awareness of current construction technologies and methods, and how these impact on outputs and costs.Commercial acumen and contractual awareness.Ability to liaise with internal and external customersFreelance Senior Estimator (Rail and Civils) Benefits:Working for an established and fast-growing civil engineering infrastructure contractor, delivering major projects.Long term contract opportunity, Outside ir35.Hybrid ..... full job details .....
