Senior Estimator

PSR Solutions are working with a market leading contractor within the Civil Engineering Sector to recruit a Senior Estimator to Join their Pre-Construction team on a permanent basis. This role will be based in Walsall.Senior Estimator Roles and ResponsibilitiesUndertake estimates in accordance with Company proceduresLead a team of estimators for larger tenders, mentoring and developing junior estimatorsIdentify opportunities and risks during the tender processLiaise with the business unit, Bid Manager and Planner to agree on methodology and PrinciplesMaintain a register of key assumptions within the estimateMaintain tender estimate fileProvide indicative pricing support for business developmentObtain feedback from site teams on estimating adequacy and current costsClose out actions and monitor customer negotiations, seeking amended authority as requiredSenior Estimator RequirementsEngineering or commercial backgroundHNC or equivalent in a related Engineering qualificationExperience in water and civilsProven track record working on tenders ranging up to 50mNumerically and IT literate, familiar with estimating software and Microsoft Office, especially Microsoft ExcelChartered, incorporated status or similarConfidence in dealing with customers and personnel at a senior levelSenior Estimator BenefitsSalary - 75,000 - 95,000 DOEBased in WalsallCompany Vehicle Company PensionLife AssurancePrivate Medical25 day annual leave plus bank holidaysIf you are interested in this Senior ..... full job details .....
