Senior Estimator

OverviewSenior Estimator — 37 hours per week — £46,110 - £51,031 DOE. Norse Group provides a range of commercial, property and care services across the UK, and we have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Senior Estimator to join our Group''s Bid Team, based at our Head Office in Norwich, Unity Place. The role reports to the Bid Director and will be the commercial lead within the bid team. You will create, develop, and maintain costing models used across the Norse Group and support the bidding process for contracts predominantly within the Soft and Hard Facilities Management sectors. You will be supported by an estimator within the bid team, whom you will line manage, along with operational colleagues to develop competitive, commercially viable pricing proposals that meet the organisation''s commercial principles and governance requirements. Norse Group utilises Salesforce as its CRM, and you will also administer the platform within business development, ensuring data accuracy and reporting integrity.
Responsibilities
Be the commercial lead within the bid team, driving pricing and commercial strategy for tenders.
Create, develop, and maintain costing models used across the Norse Group.
Support the bidding process for contracts predominantly within the Soft and Hard Facilities Management sectors.
Line manage an estimator within the bid team and collaborate with operational colleagues to develop competitive, commercially viable pricing proposals.
Ensure pricing proposals meet the organisation''s commercial principles and governance requirements.
Administer Salesforce (CRM) within business development, ensuring data accuracy and reporting integrity.
Successful Candidate / Qualifications
Commercial experience, preferably within a sales and/or bidding environment.
Excellent technical knowledge of MS Excel to enable costing model development.
Proven experience in a commercial role, preferably within business development.
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, capable of tailoring presentation of information to the audience.
Solution driven, capable of contributing to bid development through sound commercial understanding, analysis, and advice.
Autonomous working capability, with ability to collaborate in a team environment.
Experience of using Salesforce or a similar CRM platform is desirable.
Full UK driving licence; travel to other Norse Group offices may be required.
