Senior Estimator

We''re working with a well-established civil engineering and infrastructure contractor delivering a broad range of projects across sectors including infrastructure, highways, earthworks and structural works. With a strong order book and continued growth, the business is looking to strengthen its pre-construction team with the appointment of an Estimator or Senior Estimator.

The Role

You''ll be involved throughout the tender lifecycle, supporting the preparation of competitive and commercially robust bids across a range of civil engineering and infrastructure projects.

Key responsibilities include:

• Reviewing tender enquiries, drawings and specifications

• Preparing detailed cost estimates and pricing project packages

• Obtaining and analysing subcontractor and supplier quotations

• Producing cost build-ups for labour, plant and materials

• Identifying risks, opportunities and value engineering options

• Supporting the preparation and submission of tender documentation

• Working closely with operational teams to ensure a smooth transition from tender to delivery

What They''re Looking For

• Estimating experience within civil engineering, infrastructure or major construction projects

• Good understanding of tender processes and construction methodology

• Ability to review technical documentation and develop accurate cost plans

• Strong commercial awareness and analytical skills

• Confident communicating with internal teams and supply chain partners
