Senior Estimator

Well-established building contractor based in Croydon, specialising in high-quality refurbishment projects across central London-up to -50m in value are seeking a skilled Estimator to join their team

This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in pricing refurbishment works who can accurately assess costs and contribute to the successful tendering of projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for refurbishment projects, including labour, materials, and timeframes.

• Analyse drawings, specifications, and project documents to prepare competitive tenders.

• Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to gather necessary pricing information.

• Assist in value engineering and identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.

• Work closely with the project management team to ensure budget alignment through all project phases.

• Maintain and develop a database of pricing information and cost benchmarks.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as an estimator in the construction industry, ideally with a focus on refurbishment projects.

• Strong knowledge of building methods, materials, and regulations.

• Proficient in estimating software.

• Excellent analytical and numerical skills with high attention to detail.

• Strong communication and negotiation abilities.

• Ability to manage multiple tenders and deadlines simultaneously.

• A proactive and professional approach to problem-solving.

Desirable:

• Relevant qualifications in construction, quantity surveying, or a related field.
