Are you ready to apply Make sure you understand all the responsibilities and tasks associated with this role before proceeding.LeedsUp to £70,000 + car + benefitsA well-established civil engineering and remediation contractor is looking to strengthen its estimating team with a proven estimating professional.Whether you''re stepping up into a senior role or already operating at that level, this is a chance to work on technically diverse projectsYou’ll be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive tenders across a range of disciplines including bulk excavation, soil and groundwater treatment, waste management, ground stabilisation, civils, and general groundworks and small construction schemesThe role involves close collaboration with project managers, engineers, and commercial teams to ensure bids are commercially sound and operationally deliverable.The Role Produce detailed cost estimates based on site assessments, technical drawings, and project specificationsLiaise with suppliers and subcontractors to secure competitive pricing and ensure quality standardsAttend site visits to identify risks and opportunities, feeding into bid strategySupport bid submissions with clear, compliant documentation and pricing breakdownsReview estimates and ensure accuracy prior to submissionParticipate in handover meetings to ensure smooth transition from pre-construction to deliveryMaintain awareness of environmental regulations and ensure compliance across all estimatesIdentify opportunities for cost savings and process improvementsAbout You Strong estimating experience within land remediation or environmental constructionAbility to interpret technical drawings and build cost plans from first principlesFamiliarity with NEC and JCT contracts, plus experience using tendering portalsSolid understanding of construction materials, methods, and equipmentProficiency in estimating software and Microsoft OfficeExcellent attention to detail, analytical thinking, and communication skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a collaborative ..... full job details .....
