Senior Estimating Engineer / Production Engineer - (Precision Engineering - Aerospace and Oil and Gas)Join a long-established, market-leading subcontract precision engineering business, delivering complex, high-spec components for aerospace and oil and gas customers. This is a senior, influential position with genuine impact on margin, delivery performance and manufacturing methods.Reporting to the Director, you''ll sit at the intersection of sales, estimating and production engineering. You''ll produce accurate, competitive quotations, ensure manufacturability, and act as the technical/commercial link between customers, suppliers and internal production and quality teams.Key responsibilitiesEstimating and commercialCreate detailed cost estimates for CNC machined components/assemblies from RFQs, drawings and specificationsInterpret complex drawings including GDandT, tolerances, surface finishes and material requirementsObtain competitive pricing for external/special processes (e.g. heat treatment, coating, NDT)Support pricing strategy to stay competitive while protecting marginClarify technical and commercial requirements with customers during quotationSales and customer interfaceServe as the technical point of contact for key aerospace and oil and gas customersBuild strong relationships to support repeat business and new opportunitiesAttend customer meetings/technical reviews and support contract negotiationsIdentify value engineering and cost-reduction ..... full job details .....
