We''re seeking our first Engineering Manager to partner with our VP Engineering and establish Engineering Management at Omnea, taking ownership across people, process, and technology as part of our leadership team.As we grow from tens to hundreds of enterprise customers and through 10x revenue growth in the next 2-3 years, you''ll play a crucial role in building and leading the best Engineering function in its category. You will oversee multiple teams, ensuring high-quality solutions while maintaining velocity in a fast-paced environment.You’ll join us at an exciting time. We''re a Series A company with $25m raised from top investors like Accel, Point Nine, First Round, and industry experts. Our engineering team has shipped our platform to renowned customers like Spotify, Lookout, McAfee, Onfido, and Typeform, all while operating efficiently. You will have high autonomy and collaborate closely with a VP Engineering experienced in scaling teams from Series A to pre-IPO at a tech unicorn. Our leadership has a proven track record of scaling companies rapidly and successfully.We are targeting an April 2025 start for this role.What Can You Expect?
Build and Lead High-Performing Teams
Lead multiple engineering teams, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement.Drive engineering best practices, quality standards, and performance metrics.Mentor and develop engineers to help them grow their careers and impact.Collaborate with Product and Design to optimize team structure and delivery.Drive Technical Excellence
Champion quality improvements across teams while maintaining high velocity.Implement and refine scalable engineering processes.Facilitate architectural decisions that impact multiple teams.Ensure robust monitoring, observability, and incident response processes.Shape Technical Product Strategy
Partner with Product leadership to define and execute our technical roadmap.Balance technical debt, feature development, and system reliability.Ensure customer feedback informs technical priorities.About You
Leadership Experience
8+ years of software engineering experience, with 3+ years managing engineering teams.Experience managing 2-3 teams with 12-20 engineers.Proven success as an Engineering Manager at Series A+ SaaS companies.Experience thriving in fast-moving, ambiguous environments during rapid growth.Technical Excellence
Strong technical background with hands-on experience in modern web technologies.Deep understanding of distributed systems, cloud architecture (preferably AWS), and scalability challenges.Experience with our stack (TypeScript, React, AWS Serverless) is a plus but not required.Track Record Of Impact
Proven ability to improve team velocity and quality.Experience implementing scalable engineering processes during rapid growth.Successful project delivery in fast-paced environments.Experience working directly with customers and translating needs into technical solutions.Experience scaling engineering teams quickly.Leadership Style
Data-driven with good intuition.Decisive across teams and stakeholders.Comfortable making decisions with incomplete information.Track record of growing and developing engineering talent.Nice To Haves
