Senior Engineering Manager
We are seeking an experienced Senior Engineering Manager to lead and develop our operational maintenance team. You will be responsible for ensuring the plant operates at peak performance through effective planning, coordination, and leadership of all onsite engineering activities.
This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll drive plant reliability by enhancing your team’s technical knowledge, managing critical spare parts, and maintaining high operational standards. You’ll work closely with the wider leadership team to deliver on supplier and customer requirements, evaluate plant performance, and implement improvement initiatives to meet and exceed KPIs and financial targets.
Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the onsite maintenance team, ensuring safe and efficient operations.
• Take full ownership of the maintenance function, including planning, coordination, and execution of all engineering activities.
• Act as Deputy Depot Manager when required.
• Monitor, evaluate, and report on plant performance, proposing actions to improve efficiency and resolve constraints.
• Develop your team through training, mentoring, and knowledge-sharing.
• Ensure compliance with professional, legal, and safety standards at all times.

• Minimum NVQ Level 3 in Engineering (or equivalent), with proven operational management experience.
• Professional qualifications must be verifiable.
• Strong background in waste management, recycling, or a similar industrial environment.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Able to balance hands-on technical expertise with strategic oversight.
