We also provide local services to customers and technical leadership to the rest of the Group in these sectors.Overview of roleAs a Senior Engineering Geologist you will be a key member of our growing Ground Engineering team within the Buildings Unit. You will have the opportunity to deliver exciting projects across the UK, Ireland and occasionally overseas while working with a talented team of ground engineers.You will have the opportunity to broaden your experience in the Buildings market and work with a range of public and private sector clients on rewarding projects. You will work across sectors including defence, health, education, transportation, maritime, water and energy.The role will be varied and offers fantastic opportunities for personal and career development. You’ll be a key member of geotechnical project teams and be responsible for undertaking and managing the following tasks:Desk studiesGI supervisionInterpretation of ground investigation data and production of ground modelsGIRs and ground parameter assessmentBudgeting and cost controlTraining and mentoring of graduate geologistsThe role will be primarily office-based however flexibility is required to attend site visits, client meetings, and for GI site-supervision as may be required by our projects.Minimum Requirements:BSc/MSc in Engineering GeologyChartered Geologist (or equivalent), or near charteredStrong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to write clear and concise technical reports and documents.Strong inter-personal skills, working closely and collaboratively with colleagues and clients in a multi-disciplinary environmentAbility to work independently and as part of a team and organise workload to ensure project timescales are metCandidates should be willing to travel within the UK and IrelandYou will also be able to demonstrate the following:Experience of delivering Ground Investigations and GIRsExperience in the application of relevant industry computer geological/ geotechnical software packages.You are a relationship builder and understand the dynamics of working with a team as well as working autonomously.Ability to direct and deliver multiple concurrent projects or one large project on time and within budgetSome experience in geotechnical design including, for example, ground improvement, slope stability analysis, seepage analysis, settlement assessment and foundation designExperience guiding and nurturing Engineers in their technical developmentBenefits:Private medical insurance for all UK colleagues.Health cash plan to support you with every day health costs and treatments.Access to Peppy, providing free support from menopause experts for all UK colleagues.A variety of wellbeing support is available through our comprehensive wellbeing program, including access for you and your family.Ability to flex your salary to opt into a wide range of health benefits, many of which can be extended to your family too.Apply now, or for more information about our application process, click ..... full job details .....
