Senior Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Senior Engineer to join a leading construction contractor on a major project in Limerick.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated engineering professional to take on a key leadership role, overseeing site engineering activities, ensuring quality standards are maintained, and supporting the successful delivery of a large-scale construction project.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate all engineering activities on site.
• Manage setting out, dimensional control, and survey requirements.
• Provide leadership and support to Site Engineers and Junior Engineers.
• Ensure as-built surveys and engineering records are completed accurately.
• Maintain high standards of quality assurance and compliance.
• Prepare and review Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs).
• Manage Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and drive close-out actions.
• Review and prepare Method Statements and Risk Assessments.
• Coordinate Temporary Works activities and support lifting operations.
• Manage technical queries and the RFI process.
• Liaise with project teams, subcontractors, and management to ensure successful project delivery.

About You

• Degree qualified in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Proven experience in a Senior Engineer or Site Engineer position on large-scale construction projects.
• Strong understanding of QA/QC procedures and construction best practices.
• Experience managing setting out and survey activities.
• Knowledge of Temporary Works and site-based health & safety requirements.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and resolve technical issues effectively.
