Senior Engineer

Rullion are currently looking for a Senior Engineer for a client based in Gosforth, on a permanent basis.

You will lead the UK railway engineering operations for the Locomotives product family. This role combines strategic oversight with deep technical expertise in mechanical and electrical engineering. You will be responsible for shaping engineering strategy, ensuring compliance with safety and performance standards, and driving innovation across fleet maintenance and project delivery.-

Skills and Qualifications

• Chartered Engineer (IMechE or IET) or willing to work towards-
• Degree or equivalent experience in a technical field (including rolling stock).
• Experience working within locomotive or-similar environment
• Experience in managing engineering projects and maintenance teams.
• Proven leadership in dynamic, high-pressure environments.
• Strong customer-focused mindset and commitment to quality.
• Experience managing engineering change and leading senior teams.
