Senior Site Engineer - Highways / Infrastructure Location: Surrey (Major Highways Project) Rate: Excellent day rates - CIS or Ltd Company (DOE) Contract: Initial 6-month contract with strong potential to extend beyond 12 months, plus opportunities on additional local projects. Start: ASAPThe OpportunityAn excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Site Engineer to join a major highways and infrastructure project in Surrey. The role involves overseeing Site Engineers and delivering key packages including earthworks, drainage, Section 278 works, carriageway construction and associated highways infrastructure. This is a long-term contract offering excellent continuity of work on a major civil engineering scheme.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and mentor Site Engineers and junior engineering staff.Supervise daily construction activities, ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme and to specification.Oversee engineering delivery across earthworks, drainage, Section 278 and carriageway works, including setting out and verification where required.Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and direct labour to maintain project progress.Review drawings, specifications and technical documentation, resolving engineering issues as they arise.Manage QA processes including ITPs, inspections, testing, quality records and as-built documentation.Produce and maintain AutoCAD as-built drawings and project handover documentation, including Health and Safety Files.Order materials and ..... full job details .....
