Senior Engineer

Abatec is recruiting for an experienced Senior Engineer to join a growing and dynamic project delivery team working across Somerset and North Somerset. This role offers the opportunity to lead and deliver a diverse portfolio of projects, with a strong focus on civil engineering & steel frame structures.

You will play a key role in managing projects from early-stage planning through to construction and completion, ensuring technical excellence, programme adherence, and commercial success.

As Senior Engineer you will:

• Lead the engineering delivery of projects involving civil works, infrastructure, and steel frame structures
• Oversee site engineering activities, ensuring quality, safety, and compliance with design specifications
• Coordinate design development, temporary works, and buildability input
• Manage subcontractors, site teams, and engineering resources
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to required standards
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers

Our client requires a Senior Engineer with:

• Degree/HNC/ONC in Civil Engineering or a related field
• Previous experience within civil engineering & construction projects
• Excellent knowledge of construction processes, standards, and regulations
• Strong leadership and communication skills

Salary/Benefits:

• -65,000 - -80,000 Depending on experience
• Car allowance
